HIGH ART - an elevated 420 group show

Weed has come a loooong way since the days of Reefer Madness.  The way we smoke has evolved, tastes have changed, and even science has been added to the mix. Marijuana has become embedded in our culture and everyone from students to cooks to CEOs are regularly getting blazed.  And along with the culture, art celebrating marijuana and the act of being high has evolved past psychedelic posters/black lights, Bob Marley, and pot leaf apparel.

So we are excited to present High Art: An Elevated 420 Group Show.  We wanted to get away from the old idea of what art for stoners; art that commemorates the marijuana culture; etc entail… but at the same time, we wanted to give the artist the creative freedom to interpret what that looks like to them.  It is like the experience of being high vs the actual method of getting high… The positive effects on mental health, the enjoyment of foods, colors, euphoria, etc. More of a lowkey vibe. It’s the equivalent of being high, but having eye drops
